Where better than the Pyrenees to spend a week Mountain Biking?
The Spanish Pyrenees offer an enormous range of quiet routes which allow you to discover truly spectacular landscapes while enjoying your favourite sport.
Our week long holiday with daily rides of between 60 and 90 km has something for everyone: long slow climbs, steep ramps, rocky downhills ( one on a route used for the World Downhill Challenge, accessed by cable-car) which test your suspension and even occasional long flat stretches!
All the routes start from about 1200m and routes some have vertical climbs of up to 1000m more. (Average daily accumulated climb 1600m)
We do six routes over the week. Up to 85% of each route is on mountain and forest tracks and the remainder on mountain back roads.
We adapt the route choices to the participants’ choice. Routes can be modified depending on cyclists’ fitness and everyone sets their own personal challenge. Once we know your level we’ll send you your personalised route profile.
Our support vehicle is nearby for running repairs and carrying the lunches, so you just focus on the cycling.
In the evenings, there is plenty of time for recovery. Cyclists will have access to an indoor or outdoor pool.
The total number of cyclists per week is limited to 15.
Despite all the good intentions, bikers don’t always arrive as fit as they like around 500Km in the previous three/four months is usually a good base.
During the week we build up the mileage and difficulty of the routes carefully so you certainly will be very fit by the end of the week!
Accommodation is in the Pyrenean Experience Centre. Alternative accommodation can be arranged.
