2011-07-05 Robert - Professional Type of Holidays: Cycling From: Dublin (Ireland)Many thanks to Chris and company for looking after us all so well during our stay. The hotel was ideally situated for riding the Quebrantahuesos and Chris's local knowledge was a big help. Will definitely return.
2011-03-06 Carvers, Chattells & Courts - Family with children Type of Holidays: Ski From: Tunbridge Wells (England)Thank you, again, for another great weeks holiday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and yet again were really happy at the Hotel Sabocos - thanks to all their staff for tolerating our poor Spanish!
2011-02-26 David - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Shifnal (UK)Thanks Chris for your guidance and the savings you made for us, even though we werent staying with you. Home now, but we'll be back to ski again.
2011-02-17 Mrs Geraldine Brooks - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Wokingham (United Kingdom)We had a fantastic skiing holiday in Pantecosa, thanks to Chris he made sure we could ski every day even when they closed the resort for high winds, he took us to Formigal. Chris is such a friendly and helpful host, it was a pleasure to finally meet him and his wife Una.
2011-02-04 Cheryl - Family with children Type of Holidays: Ski From: Cork (Ireland)This was our first attempt at a skiing holiday and it was absolutely brilliant. We have 2 small children and were given a room with bunk beds with spectacular views which was just perfect for us all. The skiing was superb, plenty of runs for beginners/intermediates with the most amazing views. Very safe and organized for the children too. We eat in a different restaurant every night in Penticosa, all walking distance, and the food was amazing. The kids loved the tapas! This is great place and I highly recommend it, we were made to feel extremely welcome and were looked after very well thanks to Christopher and Unaigh.
2011-01-30 Peter - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Cardiff (Wales)I can't recommend the Pyrenean experiance enough. Chris and Una ensure your trip is completely care-free from day one. Combine that with the daily dose of adrenaline fuelled skiing, stunning views, a great dining experience and fun packed nights out make it one of the best weeks of my life. My only complaint is that I'm not there right now!
2011-01-19 Stacey - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Cardiff (Wales)By far the best ski trip I've been on!!! I've been snowboarding 3 times before and this wins hands down. Each day on the slopes brought new experiences, laughs, skills and friendships, whilst every evening brought all that with the added extras of amazing food, wine, and whiskey con peche!
Definitely still on a 'Panticosa high', brilliant in every way. Can't wait til next year..... if Chris and Una will have us again????? (fingers crossed!)
2011-01-19 Nim - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: London (UK)One of the best experiances!!!! An awesome all round holiday....great relaxation, great skiing, great fun!!!!! Surpasses everyones expectations! Chris and Una are great hosts! Would head back there now if i could!
2011-01-19 Barry Sheehan - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Enniscorthy (Ireland)Second year visiting, second year I didn't want to come home! Awesome!
2011-01-18 Connor McCann - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Omagh (Ireland)After Returning to Panticosa for my second year of Skiing, I am convinced that the place just gets better and better! The Ski resort itself is situated within a beautiful secluded range of mountains, that are obviously ideal for mountain biking and a range of other outdoor activities during the summer! The experience was phenomenal with plenty of variety for entertainment in the evenings. The locals are very friendly, making the place great for those wanting to pick up or improve on any Spanish they have. The Organisers Chris and Una are unforgettable and had made every arrangement to make are stay as enjoyable as possible. Will definitely be returning for another Pyrenean Experience! 10/10
2011-01-18 Carys Bowden - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Swansea (Wales)The trip was really well organised so all we had to worry about was having fun.... which we definitely did! The resort was beautiful and people really friendly. Will definitely be returning next year!
2011-01-17 Chris Hanbury - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Cardiff (Wales)Where to begin really, one of the best holidays i've ever had, everything was made easy by Chris and Una with my only worry being when was I next going to fall, I've already recommended the pyrenean experiance to friends and can't wait to go back.
2010-05-22 Ken Poland - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Bray (Ireland)Panticosa skiing with Chris and Una is much more than just a SKI holiday. You get to experience the food the culture and to meet and make friends with the local people. This is a SKI holiday like no other. We have skied many resorts in the ALPS and the Pyrenees but Panticosa is by far our favorite place and never fails to meet our by now high expectations for good food, good skiing, great apes ski and a magic holiday like no other. ***** :)
2010-03-24 Alistair Lough - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Sheffield (UK)Hi, this was the second time for me and my family in Panticosa on a Pyrenean Experience ski holiday. Once again the week was brilliant - we were lucky with the weather (w/c 14/2/2010), and the resort was not too busy - it was half term. We had ski school and found the standard of coaching very good. My wife and I are beginners whilst our son and daughter are much more skilled - but we found there were enough slopes to keep us all happy. The organisation from Chris and Oonagh was excellent - we just had to turn up! The accommodation we had was very good and the restaurants that we were taken to were fair to very good, but always interesting. We went with a party of friends 18 of us in all. Everyone loved it. I would not hesitate to recommend The pyrenean experience - great fun and we were very well looked after.
2010-03-05 Diarmuid Buckley - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Cork (Ireland)I have been there, done ski and proudly wear thePyereneanExperience T-shirt. Very friendly resort, where I feel skiing is something you do *because* you are having fun in Panticosa rather than being the obsession. I am rubbish at skiing really but I recommend giving it a bash. The contrast with city life is charming of itself; food and people are lovely. Now am I back in the office, I am asking Which would I rather do, spend euro50 on a taxi taking me 2km in dublin OR same amount on my return flight for skiing.
Staff on the slopes and at the equipment shop were very patient and attentive. I am rehearsing my speech explaningit is not Andorra for spreading the word for next year 2011.
2010-03-03 Clark Tardiff - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: Cardiff (UK)I went to Panticosa as a member of a group of students and we could not have asked for a better trip! Amazing hospitality from Chris and everyone else in the town...cannot wait to go back next year!!
2010-03-03 Breda O Mahony - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Malahide (Ireland)What a marvelous place! Please do not tell too many about the excellent skiing , very helpful instructors and lift attendands and uncrowded slopes. Allied to excellent restaurants, bars and accomodation in the very authentic hospitable village - this place is a gem.
2010-03-03 Colman O Keeffe - Retired Type of Holidays: Ski From: Dublin (Ireland)Excellent holiday - ski slopes not at all crowed with excellent facilities and plently of snow. Very friendly village to visit with great restaurants and VERY competative prices. Highly recommended.
2010-02-26 Jaclyn Deane - Student Type of Holidays: Ski From: OPSOC, Cardiff University (Wales)I went on a university ski trip with 40 of us and stayed in the Pyrenean Experience Centre. Chris the operator really could not have been more hospitable, organizing everything from skiing, equipment, food and of course... drinking! It was really a fantastic trip. The ski was amazing! My first ski trip and I really have no reason to go anywhere else after such a fantastic holiday. There were beginners and pros with us and definitely something for everyone. The accommodation was lovely and you just cant help falling in love with the town and its people. See you next year Chris!
2010-02-25 Tracey Carver - Family with children Type of Holidays: Ski From: Tunbridge Wells (England)We have just returned from a halfterm skiing holiday in Panticosa, with 2 other families (14 children in total!).
We all had a great time and were very impressed with all that Chris organised for us.
The Hotel Sabocos was excellent and so close to the Cable Car.
All ski equipment was comfortable and very easy to change if there were any problems.
There was plenty of snow and enough runs to keep all levels happy.
Everyone we met was friendly and helpful and made the holiday thoroughly enjoyable.
We would recommend it to anyone!
2010-02-24 Graham Glynn - Professional Type of Holidays: Ski From: Sligo (Ireland)February 2010 myself and girlfriend took a week inclusive package ski trip (we are beginners) based on a recommendation from a good friend - we were completely satisfied with our holiday. The tour operator Chris and his wife Una were very helpful and organised our whole iteniary from flight/bus transfers/ski hire options to accommodation which was to a high standard (including breakfast & evening meals). The ski resort (Panticosa) is not too crowded with very modern facilities - it is also idea for beginners with very professional and friendly ski instructors. The town is also very charming with friendly locals and many great bars and restaurants to choose from. I would highly recommend you travel with Chris/Una and The Pyrenean Experience - very professional with a friendly approach! Hopefully we will return again in 2011
2010-02-24 Prionsias - Single Type of Holidays: Ski From: Ennis (Ireland)Great quiet resort, great food, friendly lift operators. |
